Privacy policy

This policy covers https://solotaxdesk.com. Income, profit and filing status are sensitive: on many tax sites they are the price of the answer. Here they are computed in your browser and sent nowhere, and the site sets no cookie. The publisher is established in France, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to everything the site does, for every visitor; residents of US states with a consumer privacy law keep at least the rights below.

2. What stays on your device

Every figure you type is used by the calculator inside your browser. "Copy share link" writes your inputs into the page address: anyone you send the link to can read them.

3. What is processed

Hosting logs

GitHub, the host, records the IP address, time, page and browser of each request for security. Legal basis: legitimate interest. Retention: GitHub's policy.

Cookie-free stability measurement

Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited) is loaded in a mode that sets no cookie and does not link visits; it measures errors, load times and clicks that do nothing, with page content and typed values masked. Microsoft receives the technical request data, including the IP address. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a site that works (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object by blocking clarity.ms or by writing to us.

E-mails

If you write, we keep your address and message to answer and delete them three years after the last exchange. Please never send a Social Security number, an EIN or a tax return: we do not need them.

4. No sale, no leads

We sell and share no personal information and pass nothing to accountants, tax software, payroll or formation companies.

5. Transfers

GitHub, Inc. is in the United States; request data may be processed there under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection: write to contact@solotaxdesk.com, answer within one month. You may complain to the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL) (https://www.cnil.fr).

7. Children

The site is meant for adults and collects nothing from children.
