About Solo Tax Desk

Radif Partners builds the tax engine behind these pages from the documents the IRS itself publishes for 2026: Rev. Proc. 2025-32 for the brackets, the standard deduction and the section 199A thresholds, the 2026 Form 1040-ES package for the Social Security limit and the estimated tax rules, and Publication 15 for payroll. State fees and franchise taxes are read on each Secretary of State and revenue department website, with the date of reading next to every figure. We sell no filing, payroll or company-formation service and ask for no email.

Why the site was built

Search "llc vs s corp" and the first page of Google is a row of articles: the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Wolters Kluwer, Stripe, LegalShield. None of them computes anything. Search for an S corp savings calculator and the tools belong to payroll companies and accounting firms (Gusto, Collective, Keeper, several CPA practices) that sell the election, the payroll or the bookkeeping that comes after it, and most stop at the federal self-employment tax. One popular two-field LLC calculator has no tax year and no state at all, and one 1099 widget still displayed "20XX".

This site does better than the first Google results for these searches because it gives the 2026 figure at once, without an email: self-employment tax, federal income tax after the QBI deduction, the S corp saving after payroll costs, and for each state the LLC fees, the franchise or minimum tax, the income tax and the city taxes on business profit, every number linked to the IRS, SSA or state page it was read on.

Who publishes it

Radif Partners is a company that builds calculators on public rules. It is not a CPA firm, a tax preparer, a payroll provider or a company-formation service, it has no partner to send you to, and it earns nothing when you form an LLC or elect S status. No page links to a formation service.

What the numbers rest on

Federal figures come from Rev. Proc. 2025-32 (brackets, standard deduction, QBI thresholds), the 2026 Form 1040-ES package (the $184,500 Social Security limit, the estimated tax rules and dates), Publication 15 (payroll taxes) and the SSA fact sheet of October 2026. State figures were read on each Secretary of State and revenue department site: 41 of the 51 jurisdictions (50 states and DC) have their LLC fees verified today. A figure we could not read on an official page is shown as "n/a", never estimated.

What it cannot do

The calculators see only what you type. They do not know your credits, your other investments, a loss carried from last year or a special rule of your city. They give an estimate of your 2026 taxes and the reasoning behind it, not advice for your business. The method page lists every assumption, and the editorial policy says how errors are fixed.
